This initiative is now
particularly focused on promoting the issues relating to Women, Peace and
Security (WPS) and Youth, Peace and Security (YPS) resolutions for contributing
to an inclusive and sustainable peace and development in the region. As of now,
sixty Rohingya women leaders and one hundred twenty women in the host community
have received literacy education under this initiative. The GA4Ps/YWL have been
using theatre and literacy education as a tool to engage young women with the
efforts of this initiative. They are also getting engaged with dialogue and
discussion with the young women in the host community and at the Rohingya
refugee camps for building awareness on gender rights and the available national
and international instruments for safeguarding women against gender-based
violence.
