Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH)

JNUS, through its own fund, has been working to promote awareness about safe hygiene practices in primary schools. JNUS also set up 600 water sealed in latrines at Kawarkhop and Gorjonia Union of Ramu Upazilla. It is actively engaged to identify the reasons behind the discriminations in access to sanitation and drinking-water among different areas, communities and income groups. It also advocates for indigenous solutions to the problems related to maintenance of tube wells and regularly teaches the community people on how water resources could be managed in the face of sudden flood and other extreme weather conditions.
