Sheuly Sharma is the Executive Director of Jago Nari Unnayon Sangsta (JNUS). She is now running a number of projects in dfferent upazillas of Cox's Bazar for the improvement of gender equality, the development of women and child health, and the prevention of domestic violence .
Before joining with JNUS, she served as a facilitator in the WASH programme of Bangladesh Rural Advancement Committee (BRAC) for one and half year from January 2007 to June 2008 in Cox's Bazar district. She also worked with YPSA (Young Power in Social Action, Chittagong) as a facilitator of it's Health programme funded by Concern Universal from July 2008 to June 2009.
Ms. Sharma is the secretary of Amrie Pari-Paribarik Nirjaton Protirodh Jote of We Can at Ramu Upazilla in Cox's Bazar. She is also the senior member of Bikashita Nari Network (BNN) conducted by the Hunger Project, Bangladesh. She is also running a community clinic named 'Jago Nari Primary Sastha Sheba Kendra,' in the remote area of Ramu Upazilla, which is providing primary treatments to women and children. She is regularly participating in various conferences, workshops and seminars on various developmental issues at the National level as well as maintaining a strong linkages and contacts with the government key agencies and other relevant stakeholders. She is working as a reputed social worker at the local and national level.
